About AprilSeven
I've been asked a number of times 'April Seven?'
I have always had a passion to give a voice to the voiceless. We're in a society that is greatly class-ified. Associations, opportunities, discussions, even relationships are on class basis.
There are some other people not exactly affected by the class thing, but who are hurting and cannot seem to find anyone to talk to, to confide in, who will understand what/how they feel. I've walked that road, I know how it is. There are also children, who are exposed to abuse, have been abused or are being abused. Childhood abuse is usually a seed for maladjusted adulthood.
So, on April 7, 2002, I got the 'call' to step up and give a voice to the voiceless, a shoulder to the hurting and to protect (vulnerable) children in whatever way I can. The journey to here has not been easy, far from it, but I've gained more insight into pain, loneliness, depression, hurt, whatever name it may be called. That 'call' gave birth to this blog. In line with this, I went for formal education in Social Work.
Now, you will find that going through, there seems to a whole range of topics brought on, yes. But, if you consider these topics again, a line runs through them. They are all directed at living a full, wholesome and fulfilling life. There are some regulars;
1. Musing - these are my own writings.
2. Health Check - tips to keep you and your family healthy. Everyday foods, fruits, vegetables, herbs, that we don't usually pay attention to, but which have tremendous benefits are featured.
3. Apron and Pans - the recipe feature.
4. Lyrics of the day - I love good music, so I post lyrics early in the morning for you to start your day with a song.
5. Creative focus - a look at entrepreneurs and the products and services they offer.
Other posts are articles I come across that fall in line with my vision for the blog, and which I like to share to encourage, inspire or educate others.
Writings are welcome from blog visitors, features of events and programs in line with the vision will also be published.
Please go through past posts, there could be something there for you. The side lines also carry adverts, brain teasers, birthday shoutouts, inspiring pictures, e.t.c.
