Musing; When You Stand Alone

Sometimes, you seem to be alone in the world. Feels like no one understands you. Feels like the world has turned its back on you and you're standing in a big, cold, lonely space and nothing makes sense.

I learnt empathy, the hard way. It's very easy to hear someone killed themselves and we jump to conclusions. All sorts of judgements are thrown their way. I have passed a comment or two about this in the past too. A woman becomes a second, third, fourth wife and we rain fire and brimstone on them, like they singlehandedly got in that position.

It's easy, very easy to cast rocks at others, because we aren't in their shoes. I learnt empathy. The hard way.

Today, my heart reaches out to you, yes, you, who feels like you're standing alone in the world. You who feels like the world is against you. You who have been judged and boxed into a corner. You who have cried till your tear ducts have dried. You who have lost steam and the will to go on. You are not alone. There's an end to that situation. Try as much as you can to hold on to hope. Try as much as you can to see the beauty in life again. If you fall, don't stay there. Get up again and keep moving.

People will talk, that's what they always do. But then, they'll get tired. The most important part of the equation is you. The piece of the puzzle that is left to be complete the picture, is you.

I stand with you. I identify with you. You will breast the tape. You will finish. Not just finish, you will finish strong. Hold on, to the thinnest rope of the web that you can find, just don't let go.
