Visible Panty Lines [VPL]
Visible Panty Lines can ruin any good outfit, while invisible panty lines will help to enhance your looks by making your figure seem sleeker. Many clothes hide your undergarments, but some outline them a little too well. This usually happens with thinner materials or tight fitting clothing.
VPLs occur at the point where your backside cheeks are intersected by the tight elastic of the panties. The backside cheeks have little place else to go but to bulge out on either side, while the elastic dips in, creating a visible indented line or more.
Ladies have plenty “worst nightmare” situations, one of which is having our panty lines show. There have been so many questions in the past as to whether this is acceptable or not, after all girls wear pants so why can’t their lines show? Fashion and decency say it’s not acceptable for your underwear lines to show. So how can this problem be combated?
1. Wear underwear that fit
When your pants are too tight, they dig into your flesh and cause the unpleasant lines. Wear pants that fit properly, that is, not too tight and not too loose.
2. Wear thongs
This might not be the most comfortable option, but it works. As a first time user, it might get a little bit uncomfortable but it gets better eventually. Even with these types of pants, you need to buy the right size else it will create bumpy silhouettes and still create some sort of visible line.
3. Boy shorts and full coverage briefs
If thongs are too uncomfortable for you, try these out. They are great because they go under your butt cheeks instead of cutting across it. Get the ones that have light lacy hems as they blend in and make the lines less abrupt and noticeable.
4. Choose laser-cut (seamless) underwear
You can actually get away with wearing your normal panties and avoid visible panty lines. These type of panties are very light and smooth and don’t give off bumpy silhouettes.
5. Support undergarments (Tights)
These help in smoothing out any unpleasant lines created by wearing panties.
6. Wear thicker fabrics with more texture
Thicker fabrics are less likely to show pant lines as opposed to light weight fabrics like silk or jersey materials. Also, prints can mask visible pant lines.
