Musing; A Time To Share
A time comes in everyone's life, when you need someone to share your fears, pains, gains, joys, hopes and dreams. That special someone you are free with. That someone you are yourself with. That someone that has your back always. That special someone that gets you, even without you talking. That special someone you can call your own. Today, she really missed having that someone. For some days prior, her internal workings had been jumbled together. She was just following the motions. She could not fully concentrate, she was touchy, she wanted to be left alone, she wanted to shut out from everyone. Except from that someone.
She had packed her backpack and resumed at school. She was enjoying every single day of her studies. First, because it was her line of passion. She loved human capacity development. She liked to see people reach their optimum potentials, but much more than that, she loved helping them reach those potentials. She liked putting a smile on people's faces. She liked to see sadness transform into joy. So, she held on closely to every lecture she got, she needed to learn as much as she could. Second, she was meeting people everyday. Her colleagues were a potpourri of characters. She liked each one for their uniqueness. She liked looking forward to meeting them daily.
Third, her studies distracted her from what, or not, he was doing. Her mind was occupied. Her brain had other things to process. She was being protective. She lost some weight, she liked the little she shed. She didn't want to be so slim, she wanted to retain a moderate size. In all, she liked what she was looking like. She liked contributing to solution finding. She liked contributing to making the world a better place.
She threw herself into everything she found to do. She looked for opportunities to do more. She added to herself daily. She didn't want room to brood. Hard as she tried, those times still snuck up on her. Those tear-jerking times snuck up on her. She prayed. That was the only thing she knew to do. She wasn't anywhere close to her best friend. There was just so much that could be done across a phone line. She needed that physical presence. One day, as she prayed, baring her soul completely, she was exhausted and could not find the words anymore. She felt a warmth enfold her. It felt so real, felt like a physical blanket was draped around her. She curled up, folded into that warmth and slept. She woke up with dried tear stains on her face.
Today, her heart was breaking within her. Today, she was feeling a sinking pain. Her innards seemed to be drawing her down. She resorted to her go-to remedy, music. It didn't lift her spirits. She was listening to the words washing over her soul, absently. Her entire being called for that someone, called to be held, called for a listening ear. Right from within, she could hear the desperate call for her soulmate. She wanted to sit with him, gaze into his eyes and enter into his world thereby. She was at that place where everyone gets to at one point or the other. That place of innate need, a need that cannot be ignored. She was at her time of sharing, but she had none to share it with.
